Thanks to Patrick Rothfuss‘ linking I was able to waste twenty minutes or so of my day on this game, and managed to reach level 34. I’m quite proud of that achievement, but I aim to do better whenever I have available time to waste.
It’s a program that gives you a word and asks you to find a synonym for it in the four available options. Both the initial word and the synonyms get harder as further you go, and each time you get a word right you donate 20 grains of rice to the United Nations Food Program.
Neat, right? You get to learn new words, waste you waste-able time and feed the poor. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Ah yes, I’ve been trying this one out myself. Also saw it on Mr. Rothfuss’ blog. Seems you are more skilled in English synonyms than I, since I only reached Level 32.
However I did donate something like 1400 grains of rice!
Well the longer you play, the more difficult to reach a high Level, as far as I recall. (And no, I don’t remember what I ended up on)
Looks like Neil Gaiman put up a link to the same page on his own blog.
He’s such a copy cat
I got to 43.
Hehehehe.
Try to put in 500 grains a day. Not sure if I’ve succeeded so far, but I’ve donated well over 10 000 grains totallty, I’m sure. (ergo, “wasted” more than two hours)
“totallty”?
I blame the comment-field, grey on black is a lousy colour-combination when you try to differentiate letters.
Does anyone know how many grains of rice goes into a meal?
I think I reached level 40 when I played with it a while back, though I haven’t put in the same amount of time as you, Ole
